Overview

In project management, the focus of risk management is aimed to strategically manage at project level, including streamlining project operations, improving accountability and standardisation. During the question-and-answer session, ample case studies and examples would be shared by the speaker. Delegates may also share their experience to identify potential strategic project problems and issues, rank the risks, risk responses, study impact of risks, evaluate risk response feasibilities, and track/control risk response implementations.

Speaker Profile

Dr. Leong is a professional trainer certified by Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp). He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2003 and coaches project managers to be PMP-certified. He had involved in:
 
  1. the establishment of PMO Project Management standard, workflow, and guidelines for Heitech Padu Berhad (Malaysia), InterTouch (Malaysia) and the Royal Commission of Jubail & Yanbu (Saudi Arabia)
  2. the facilitation of project management for Multinational Companies in Malaysia and in Middle East, (3) the conceptualized and development of a complete Project Management Web Solutions which is being used by HeiTech Padu Bhd and Intertouch-Docomo (previously known as Intertouch), a global broadband provider.

He is familiar with the setting up of Project Management Office (PMO) assets, putting-in project standard operating procedures and documentation. He also develops learning materials for university postgraduate degree modules like Systems Thinking, Leadership & Management, Organization Development, Organization Behavior, Culture and Ethics.
